Amsterdam!!

NEVER HAVE I EVER SEEN SO MANY BIKES!!
Out of all the cities I visited I found Amsterdam to be the most different to anything i've seen in Australia, and not just because of the smell of weed that seems to float around! I never imagined that a city existed that gave bikes the right of way over anything else! Of course as a pedestrian I almost got ran over by bikes A LOT! At least until I rented a bike and ended up doing the running over..
I think the best thing about Amsterdam is that you could get lost along all the tiny roads and canals and still find your way back to the main stretch of road that lead to central station, which is good for someone like me who has a horrible sense of direction!

London!!

LONDON!! Where do I even start?
I had always dreamed of going to London and fantasised about seeing all those beautiful old buildings and about how amazing it would be, and it certainly did not disappoint.
In Australia we don't really have any buildings older then the 1900's, everything is a modern type of beautiful. But going to London, where everywhere you look there are buildings hundreds of years old! Saying its a little different is a complete understatement!
Of course while we were there we did all the touristy things like London Tour, London Eye, Big Ben and watching the changing of the guard, all of which were amazing! However for me, it was seeing all the little things on the street is what really made the experience fantastic. The double decker buses, the Taxi's, the red phone booths in the middle of the street! I think I looked like a complete idiot taking multiple photos of the streets and getting excited over such normal things.
While we were there, we also took a bus to Stonehenge and Bath. And oh my gosh! How those stones got to be that way I will never know!
In my opinion, Bath was like a fantasy city, it seemed like a place that I thought only existed in movies or fairytales. I defiantly want to go back there one day!

And of course there was m&m's World!! The only place I know of that's happier then Disneyland! There was so many m&m's! and of course I couldn't go home without a few little souvenirs! And to make things even better, I got a free towel!! :)

Paris!!

Although one of the most beautiful cities I visited, Paris was also one of the scariest.
The inner city of Paris is amazing and it is obvious why it's such a romantic city (even if you do get attacked in the street) however, once we visited the outer city thats not a tourist hotspot we were shocked at how different it was!
Lucky for us, we did a Contiki tour through Paris, which meant we got to see all the amazing landmarks Paris has to offer, without waiting in any annoying lines. The Eiffel Tour was AMAZING!! I never expected to see such an amazing structure in my life, and to be able to climb it at night time was  absolutely awesome! The view that you get from the very top is insane! You can basically see the whole of Paris.
Although the Eiffel Tour was the main highlight for me, we also saw the Arc De Triomphe and paid a visit to the Louvre. The Louvre was truly incredible, although I honestly don't understand what the fuss is about the Mona Lisa. But it was good to see it anyway.
I did find it quite funny seeing all the warnings about pickpocketers around the Eiffel Tour, I have never seen those kinds of signs in Australia so watching all the videos and pictures about it was surprisingly entertaining!!

European Adventure :)

As I was sitting here pondering what I wanted my first blog post to be, I wondered 'what is something interesting that has happened in my life recently?' Then I remember that I just got home from travelling around Europe! Duh Brittany!

And what better way to show a European adventure then with a photo of one of the most amazing landmarks I have ever seen!
As I'm actually from Australia, a trip around the world takes a lot of planning, money and time. And for an 18 year old, a lot of patience.
After the gruesome 21 hour plane flight, our adventure started in London and went through 12 different countries and 20 different cities/islands! All this in only 10 weeks! Not a bad effort.
Over the next few days Ill probably write something about every country I visited and outline my favourite/least favourite parts. As i write this its actually starting to sink in that i was lucky enough to experience all these amazing places so early in my life. :)
